I agree what Grey Wood says: “Video may soon be as central to the way we communicate as the written word.” Moreover, video would be more interesting and vivid in communication and is more welcomed by children or less writing favorites.
In this class, I change my start point when making an educational video because I would start from a picture or photo without thinking of outcomes and less consider about audience. In fact, now I realize that the style and goal of the video need to be classified. And make roles of King, Queen clearly!
Another point that I learn is the special effects. I intend to make many special effects before this class. Now I need to pay attention to the issue.
In the end, I feel it is good and important to practice and show the product to peers to get feedback then improve the product.

It's a trend that digital videos and storytelling are used in educational context, because as we can learn in class, digital videos could change the educational information into more authentic, intuitive, dramatic way, and from the perspective of educators, the advantage of digital videos and storytelling is that we can edit and store the informative, seeing-and-hearing-combined materials in anywhere and anytime. On the other hand, the rapid development of information technology provides the technical support for the development of digital videos in education to attract learner's attention, motivate learners to cultivate the ability of problem-solving, as well as improve the ability of creation.
As we discussed in this class, it's essential that educators should explore and product the educational videos related to learners' desire as well as in accordance with pedagogical aims.

One thing I just came to notice on the issues of the digital storytelling videos is that: During my internship in one of the international schools here, I found that some of the students when they ask to watch the videos in the class, they will encounter some inappropriate ads or information on the YouTube. This is the very issue that I think the teachers should consider when they design their pedagogical materials. So what I am suggesting is that for thr Google Chrome users, they could go to the web chrome store and choose to download the app called AdBlock Plus(Beta) and block the ads or commercials from the video sites.
